On the 11th and 12th of July, the highly anticipated FOREST M8 General Assembly meeting took place in the beautiful city of Bremen, Germany. Hosted by Fraunhofer IFAM, a renowned research institute, the event brought together partners from the FOREST consortium to discuss the progress and plans of the project. Let's dive into the highlights of this two-day gathering.

The meeting commenced with a warm welcome from Fraunhofer IFAM, who graciously hosted the event. They provided an insightful introduction to their company, showcasing their expertise and contributions to the field. Following the introduction, Marta Estellés, the coordinator from AIMPLAS, took the stage to review the agenda and program for the meeting, ensuring that all participants were well-informed about the schedule.

With the formalities complete, the partners proceeded to present their respective Work Packages. Each partner had the opportunity to share their progress, challenges, and achievements, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among the consortium. During the presentations, the partners enjoyed a much-needed coffee break and a satisfying lunch.

After lunch, the remaining Work Packages were presented, ensuring that all aspects of the project received due attention and the partners gathered in front of the impressive IFAM building to capture a memorable group picture. To celebrate the successful meeting, the partners reassembled to go on a planned tour through the historical city centre of Bremen and indulged in a delightful dinner at a classic northern German restaurant in a centuries-old cellar.

On the second day, the partners discussed and provided input on the current status of the project, which was guided by the coordinator's insightful presentation. To further strengthen the bonds between partners, a visit to the IFAM facilities was arranged. Following a refreshing coffee break, the meeting continued with presentations from the partners responsible for the demonstrators, showcasing the progress and advancements made in their respective areas.

As the two-day meeting drew to a close, the partners concluded by planning for the next meeting, which is scheduled to take place in France. This forward-looking approach ensures a seamless continuation of the project and allows for continued progress towards its objectives.

The FOREST M8 General Assembly meeting in Bremen proved to be an invaluable platform for the partners to connect, collaborate, and review the progress of the project. With the exchange of ideas and the planning for the future, the consortium remains dedicated to advancing the goals of the FOREST project.
