Role in the project

In the FOREST project, BASF focuses on the development of bio-polyamide Ultramid®.

The main task is to create polyamides with bio-based content while ensuring these materials retain the high thermal stability, dynamic strength, impact resistance, and long-term performance of traditional polyamides. BASF is working on synthesizing these materials from renewable resources, aiming for applications in areas like injection molding and extrusion.
