Introducing CRF

Introducing FOREST consortium member - CRF.

CRF is a research centre of Stellantis, the automotive OEM established in 2021 after merging Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Groupe. CRF's mission is to develop and transfer innovative powertrains, vehicle systems and features, materials, processes, and methodologies, together with innovation expertise, to improve the competitiveness of Stellantis products.

CRF represents Stellantis in European and National collaborative research programs, joining pre-competitive projects and promoting networking actions.

Role in the project

In the FOREST project, CRF's role is to serve as an end user, providing automotive requirements and specifications, as well as testing and validating the materials and processes developed.

CRF offers a use case from the automotive sector to evaluate and confirm advancements made in FOREST.

With a focus on decarbonization and the circularity of materials and production, the automotive industry is shifting towards more sustainable materials, including biomaterials and recycled options. These need to be thoroughly validated for effective adoption in vehicles.
