AIMPLAS Highlights FOREST at Three Events in 2024
Last year, our project coordinator at AIMPLAS proactively spread awareness about the FOREST project, showcasing its goals and progress at three major events focused on plastics, innovation, and sustainability.
On November 13, AIMPLAS represented FOREST at the AMI Plastics World Expos USA 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio. This premier event brought together leading professionals from the plastics industry for a two-day showcase of the latest technologies and market trends. The expo featured four co-located shows—Compounding World Expo, Plastics Recycling World Expo, Plastics Extrusion World Expo, and Polymer Testing World Expo—making it a vital networking and knowledge-sharing platform.
Later that month, on November 28, the project was showcased through a dedicated poster presentation at the 12th Framework Programme Conference in Oviedo, Spain. Organised by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and CDTI, the conference served as the main forum in Spain for discussing the European Union’s R&I policy and fostering collaboration between national and European stakeholders. It offered an excellent opportunity to position FOREST within the broader Horizon Europe landscape.
To conclude the year, on December 12, AIMPLAS represented FOREST at the prestigious European Bioplastics Conference in Berlin, Germany. Known as a central meeting point for the bioplastics industry, the event attracted over 400 stakeholders eager to exchange ideas on sustainable plastic innovation, making it an ideal venue to highlight FOREST’s contribution to bio-based solutions.
