Role in the project

In the FOREST project, AIRBUS Aerospace is leading the development of an aerospace prototype, focusing on the cockpit ceiling panel made from sustainable materials. AIRBUS aims to optimize lightweight composite components to improve the environmental performance of aircraft.

Furthermore, AIRBUS leverages its expertise in aerostructure manufacturing and material innovation to research the development of lightweight components made from bio-based and recycled materials. The company also works on validating the multifunctional properties of biocomposite prototypes. This collaboration fosters innovation and supports the project’s goal of advancing sustainable solutions within the transport industry.
